The 2022 Rally

takes place on

Saturday September 24th

Hold the date!
The Brixham Heritage Rally normally takes place on an Autumn Saturday in Torbay. It is a sail-in-company social event, with the classic vessels sailing a course encompassing the various racing marks located in the Bay.

Despite postponement from the previous day, 5 heritage vessels led by “Pilgrim”, bravely came out to sail in the 2020 Brixham Heritage Rally, the only organised event in the South West for classic vessels this year. Wind was initially blowing well at Force4/5 but calmed right down as the sun came out and the sea state became much calmer which made it a really pleasant afternoon later on out on the water.
It was very good to welcome newcomer "Joker", a Westerly Pageant, with no less than 5 persons on board where most had just 2 crew.
“Minx” excelled herself when coming out of the harbour under full sail to breeze past and overtake the much larger “Pilgrim”.
“Roxanne” made her way up from Salcombe the previous day in very rough wind-over-tide conditions and had to get back on Sunday, but made her appearance at the start for a brief dalliance with the flotilla before turning South via Berry Head to her home port.
Many thanks to all those who braved the elements to take part.
