Letty
Bristol sailing pilot cutter No. 22
Built in 1905 by Edwin ‘Cracker’ Rowles in his boat building yard on the southern side of the Crockarn Pill, in the Watch House area, for Arthur James Gilmore Dickens and named LETTY after his wife Letitia and their first daughter of the same name.
The vessel was cutter rigged and was used solely for the purpose of pilotage by A. J. G. Dickens until the amalgamation of the Bristol pilots in 1918.
