Our Daddy
Looe Lugger
Our Daddy was built in Looe, Cornwall in 1921 by Richard Pearce.
She is believed to be one of the last Looe Lugger fishing boats built on sailing lines.
Her hull construction is Larch on Oak frames, and her decks are Iroko mounted onto Marine Plywood.
She was originally built for the Pengelly family to add to their fleet and was both owned and skippered by Alfred John Pengelly, author of “Oh, For a Fisherman’s Life”.
